Batjula is a Brisbane-based DJ.
The room can move between DJ selections and live performance when Batjula takes part in the celebration. More than ten years in the events field sits behind the act's live and DJ work. Didgeridoo teaching and youth program facilitation are also part of the performer's broader musical and community practice. Batjula works with Bush Frog Collective, identified as a First Nations production company, and takes NAIDOC Week bookings. Beyond the music, the same operation covers the technical side of an event. Through Bush Frog Collective, the First Nations production company behind the youth programs, you can add full stage and PA sound hire along with lighting. That runs across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. So if you're putting on something outdoors or in a space with no rig of its own, the sound and the performer can come from one place rather than two.
