This is classic rock played by people who love the songs rather than people imitating a record. The Barry Leef Band bring together some of Sydney's better players around a repertoire from the era when a song's whole job was to grab you with rhythm, lyric and melody together. Calling it a covers band undersells what happens on stage. The material is familiar, the interpretation is theirs, and the standard is high.
