Skedaddle

The act

Skedaddle is a Preston-based band.

Skedaddle suits a wedding where you want the music moving through the crowd, not parked in one spot, and a bit of mischief in the mix. They're a roving act from Preston, Victoria, playing everything from folk tunes, jazz, dances and ballads to pop songs and rock and roll. For canapes or that loose stretch between ceremony and dinner, that wandering setup could keep guests company without asking everyone to face a stage. The themed costumes are part of it too, with outfits such as chefs and jockeys giving the whole thing a playful, slightly daft character. And this isn't just an idea on paper: they've played many functions and shopping centres, including Puckle Street in Moonee Ponds, High Street in Malvern and the Pakenham Races.
