Aussie Pride are a tribute show built around the songs and bands that filled our pubs and clubs, drawing on Cold Chisel, AC/DC, INXS, The Angels, Australian Crawl, Hoodoo Gurus, Skyhooks, Dragon, Midnight Oil, Noiseworks, Screaming Jets, Sherbet, Jet, Powderfinger, Men at Work, Mental as Anything, Divinyls, John Paul Young, Billy Thorpe, Goanna, Jimmy Barnes and Diesel. Most tribute acts pick one band and stay there. Covering the whole genre is what makes this one work for a mixed room, because nearly everybody over a certain age has a song in that list. They bring their own sound and lighting crew, or work with yours.

The band were amazing and had the crowd up and dancing from the get go. This was our first attempt at building the Saturday night and as such the crowd was smaller than Friday but the band played like it was BDO. The sound was great and I had some good feedback from the team and visitors.
I'll definitely be talking with the team about having the band back next year.
