Performing since the age of nine, Ashley Knight now covers pop, rock, indie, country and R&B across the Central Coast, Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter. She's a working music teacher as well as a performer, which shows in how deliberately she matches a set to a room: Rolling in the Deep for the dinner crowd, Summer of 69 when it's time to dance. She sings, plays guitar and piano, and appears solo or as a duo, with other line-ups available on request. Corporate events, weddings, relaxed lounge sets and parties all sit comfortably inside her range.

What to expect
Getting the music right for the room is the thing Ashley Knight is actually good at, more than any one style. She's been performing since she was nine and has been called one of today's most exciting performers, and audiences keep turning up for the versatility. A corporate event, a wedding, a chilled lounge set or a full party all get treated differently. She teaches secondary music, VET entertainment and English, which is a job that teaches you fast how to hold a room's attention. She's played across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter in solo, duo, band and DJ line-ups.
On the day
A small setup and a power source. It is not a big footprint, so a corner of the room is usually enough. And if your event suits a fully acoustic performance with no amplification at all, even the power stops being necessary.
Set List
The sample list runs wide. Rolling In The Deep, No One, Valerie, Ironic and What's Going On for the soulful stretch, then Summer of 69, Old Time Rock and Roll, Get Lucky and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun when it's time to move. Australian songs are well represented through Cold Chisel's Khe Sanh, Flame Trees and Cheap Wine, plus Crowded House, Diesel's Tip of My Tongue, April Sun in Cuba and Buses and Trains. Newer material comes through Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers and Anne-Marie, and there's a country thread with Jolene territory, Before He Cheats and a few Dixie Chicks numbers.
