What to expect
The night has a shape to it. Soft ballads early while people are eating and talking, acoustic singalongs once the room loosens up, then a full production dance set that pushes into Uptown Funk, Mr Brightside, Shake It Off and Wagon Wheel. Daniel covers a lot of ground to get there, Cold Chisel and The Eagles through to Dua Lipa and Bruno Mars. He watches what the crowd gives back and bends the set list to match, which is really the whole trick of a solo gig.
On the day
A standard power outlet is all the venue has to provide. Allow between thirty minutes and an hour for setup before the start time, so factor that into whatever your run sheet says. If he's playing outdoors and the forecast looks wet, some shelter over the gear is essential.
