A classical string quartet with a drummer, playing songs written this side of the millennium, reworked rather than just covered. So the quartet alone can play you down the aisle, and the beat can come in while the drinks go round or when the wedding reception turns into a party. If you'd rather the whole day stayed traditional, the same players offer strings only, as a quartet, a trio or a duo. They're drawn from Perth's in demand musicians, and that is the thing you'd be booking.

On the day
AQUILA need a performance space of roughly 3m x 4m, with adequate lighting so the audience can see them and they can read their music. Outdoors, they have to be fully sheltered from sun, wind, cold and rain, so an umbrella is required anywhere without dense shade or proper cover. One armless chair for the cellist is the only furniture; everyone else stands and the drummer brings his own stool. They play a maximum of 45 minutes in each hour, unless it's a one hour booking, and set and break times get worked out with you on anything over three hours. Somewhere to stash instrument cases and bags is needed. Refreshments are appreciated on shorter bookings, and a proper meal for all the musicians on anything over three hours - just ask about dietary requirements.
