The rule is simple: if it wasn't a genuine hit, it doesn't get played. Anthems Live Band sticks to the biggest songs of the last five decades, from the 60s to today, and builds the show around audience interaction, even pulling the guest of honour up for a song if they're game. The members have serious history, with more than a decade of international touring that includes private shows at Buckingham Palace and Sir Richard Branson's Christmas parties, plus corporate work for the likes of Mercedes Benz and HSBC. Earlier in the evening they'll play polished dinner and jazz sets, Sinatra and Buble territory. They can add saxophone, brass or extra singers, bring full sound and lighting if the venue has none, and carry public liability insurance.

What to expect
The show is built around the crowd, not the stage. They'll involve your guests, work the room, and if the guest of honour is feeling brave they'll be up singing a couple with the band. No filler and nothing obscure gets a look in: every song is one the room recognises. It's light-hearted and funny, and the musicianship behind the jokes is seriously good.
On the day
Everything the band needs to run a full live show can come with them. Their fee assumes the venue has an in-house sound system they'd prefer the band used. If it doesn't, sound and lighting can be added to the quote, so mention it when you first get in touch. They don't require a stage, though any band works better with one, and 12 feet by 8 feet is the minimum performance area they'd like. More space is always welcome. A stage can also be added to the quote if the venue has none.
Set List
Early in the night it's dinner music, jazz and swing, which means a stack of Sinatra with Fly Me To The Moon, Come Fly With Me, New York, New York, That's Life, Mack The Knife and Moon River, plus Sway, Home and Save The Last Dance For Me from Michael Buble, Moondance, That's Amore, Strangers In The Night, It Had To Be You, Mr Bojangles, Somewhere Over The Rainbow and Can't Take My Eyes Off You. Later the set turns into pure hits: Mr Brightside, Seven Nation Army, Uptown Funk, Sex On Fire, Get Lucky, Chelsea Dagger, Cake By The Ocean, Drops Of Jupiter, Just The Way You Are, Treasure, The Lazy Song and I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor.
Performance options
Almost every part of the booking is adjustable. Extra band members can be added, saxophone, extra singers, a brass section. They normally arrive at 6pm and will come earlier if your guests need them set up sooner. And the night can be played two ways: straight through as a dance floor band, or opening with a cocktail set or two for a more relaxed start. Whatever shape you need, it's worth asking.
