The act
Live music through the day, then a DJ set to finish the night, both from the same person. Andy Ellem is a full time musician with almost a decade behind him and more than a thousand gigs around south east Queensland, and when your reception needs to go up a gear he can DJ the end of it, mixing the songs together rather than running a playlist. Stand By Me and Riptide, Treasure by Bruno Mars, MGMT's Kids, Dreams, Fast Car and Foo Fighters' Best of You all appear in a sample of his set. Ceremony only, reception only, or the whole wedding day: all three are open to you, and an information pack is yours for the asking. He's based in Brisbane. His own aim is that your friends end up asking where you found him.

Both powered and unpowered setups are available, so a spot with no power point nearby does not rule out live music. Worth mentioning when you enquire which one your venue needs, because it changes what he packs.
Set List
The list is broader than most soloists attempt. Foo Fighters' Best of You and Blink 182's Dammit sit near Fast Car, Dreams, Girls Just Want To Have Fun and Stand By Me. There's an indie and electronic streak through Kids and Electric Feel by MGMT, Feel Good Inc, Riptide, Wake Me Up and Little Talks. Newer material shows up with Ed Sheeran's Don't and I Don't Care, Shotgun, Eastside and Take Care. Then the ones that always land: Jessie's Girl, Glycerine, Better Together, Scar Tissue, Treasure, Walking in Memphis and Waiting on the World to Change. That's a sample rather than the whole thing.
