Khe Sanh, Jolene, Valerie and a stack of Cold Chisel, CCR and Fleetwood Mac. Afterglow work the classic covers territory from the 60s through to the 90s, with a healthy lean toward Aussie rock. They're a Perth band playing everything from council and corporate functions to weddings, private parties and pub nights. Experienced and professional, but laid back with it. The set keeps growing too, taking in Powderfinger, Blondie, The Black Keys and Tina Turner alongside the older staples. And they clearly enjoy themselves on stage, which tends to rub off on a room.

What to expect
Aussie rock, sixties through nineties covers and a room that gradually forgets it was meant to be a formal function. Afterglow have played enough council nights, weddings, corporate dos and pub gigs to read a crowd early and pitch the set accordingly. Khe Sanh and a run of Cold Chisel sit next to Fleetwood Mac, Blondie and Tina Turner, and newer additions like Powderfinger and The Black Keys keep turning up. What you notice most is how relaxed they are about all of it. Nobody is performing at you. They look like four people enjoying a good night, which is usually the thing that tips a Perth room onto the dance floor.
