Nothing obscure, ever. The set is built from songs the whole room can sing, played to your guests rather than at them, and if one of you is game they'll back you for a song of your own. Two halves: dinner jazz and swing first, Fly Me To The Moon, Moondance and Home by Michael Buble, then the gear changes and it's Uptown Funk, Chelsea Dagger and Mr Brightside. That split maps onto a wedding neatly: swing while the entrees go out, anthems once the speeches are done. Extra singers, a saxophone or a full brass section can be added, and a gentler cocktail set can open the night. Based in Brisbane, the moment to hear them is the second the dessert plates leave and the first anthem starts.

What to expect
This is a band that plays to the room rather than at it. They'll talk to your guests, pull people in, and if the birthday girl or the groom fancies a go, they'll hand over a microphone and back them up for a song. Nothing obscure gets played. Every song in the set is one people already know the words to, which is the point of the name. It stays light and a bit silly, but the playing and the singing underneath it are the real thing.
On the day
The band can run the whole show off their own kit, so you don't have to source anything. Their fee assumes your venue has an in-house sound system they can plug into. No system? Say so up front and they'll include sound and lighting in the quote. A stage isn't essential, though every band looks better on one, and 12 feet by 8 feet is the size they'd ask for. Bigger is welcome. If your venue has no stage at all, that can go into the quote too.
Set List
There are two halves to what they play. Early on it's dinner jazz and swing, so Fly Me To The Moon, Come Fly With Me, New York, New York and That's Life from Frank Sinatra, Moondance by Van Morrison, Mack The Knife, That's Amore from Dean Martin, Sway and Home from Michael Buble, Strangers In The Night, Mr Bojangles, It Had To Be You, Moon River and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Then the switch flips and it's straight hits: Mr Brightside, Seven Nation Army, Uptown Funk, Get Lucky, Sex On Fire, Cake By The Ocean, Chelsea Dagger, Drops Of Jupiter, Just The Way You Are, I Believe In A Thing Called Love and plenty more.
Performance options
Almost everything about the booking bends to suit you. Extra singers, a sax player or a full brass section can be added to the line-up. They usually arrive at 6pm but will come earlier if your guests do. And they'll either play the night purely as a dance floor band, or open with a cocktail set or two for a softer start before the party proper. If you want something that isn't listed here, ask.
